In this class we cultivate a healthy relationship between dog and owner(s) by providing insight into dog behavior and showing owners how to teach their dogs basic commands.

For puppies 10 weeks to 5 months
The perfect start for your puppy! A great opportunity to build a strong, working relationship between dog and owner(s) by developing foundation behaviors and healthy free play. Other topics covered include housebreaking, biting, vet visits, and nail trimming.

Ages 12 months-3 years
KidSpace at the Y is an educational, movement based program designed for children and their parents. This special program was designed to develop a love of movement and enhance physical fitness in young children. By offering a safe, non-competitive environment, KidSpace at the Y encourages physical development, as well as social and cognitive enrichment.
Share in your child’s excitement as he/she explores the soft, colorful, safe equipment which helps to develop balance and coordination. Movement rich games and parachute play strengthen spatial awareness, hand-eye coordination and social skills. Next Session Begins September 2010…Mondays and Thursday mornings. $55/member $75/program participant. Contact Amy Thomas, Healthy Lifestyles Director for more information.

2nd Tuesday and 4th Friday of the month 9 a.m.-noon
Treat your children ages 2-5 to a morning of fun including crafts, games and a mid-morning snack. Prior registration is required as space is limited.
This program is free to those with a Family Membership.
Please provide a nut-free snack for your child.
Mom’s Lunch Out
3rd Friday of the month noon – 2 p.m.
Please bring packed lunch for your child (no peanut products please) and enjoy a group lunch at a local restaurant with other moms while the kids enjoy lunch bunch with friends at the YMCA. Prior registration is required. This program is free to those with a Family Membership. Cost of lunch is not included.
Parent’s Night Out
1st Friday of the month 6:30-10 p.m.
Bring the kids (ages 2-11) to the YMCA for a fun night of activities, movies, and pizza while parents enjoy a night out. Children ages 5-11 need swim suit and towel. Registration is required and is available on the 15th of the prior month.
This program is free to those with a Family Membership.

Tracking Out (grade K-8)
This program operates from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. during Talbot County Public School and most local private school vacation days and half-days. Contact the YMCA for available Tracking Out days. Activities include swimming, indoor and outdoor games, arts & crafts, and more. Field trips will be announced ahead of time and may have additional costs. Register at least five days in advance of program date. Special rate for A.S.P.I.R.E participants.

Birthday Parties
(ages 5-10)
A special day for the birthday child and no hassle for the parents! Parties include set up and clean up, paper goods, decorations, pizza, cake, ice cream, beverages, and goodie bags. One hour of pool time, pizza, cake, Ice cream & gifts, and one half hour in the Gooch Family Play Center hosted by a YMCA staff member and lifeguard. Parties take place from 1-3 p.m. or 3:30-5:30 p.m.
$225/member $300/program participant
(ages 3–4 years)
This option offers all of the items above except for swimming. Supervised play time in the Gooch Family Play Structure and time for pizza, cake, Ice cream & gifts! These Gooch-only parties are offered 1-2:30 p.m. $185/member $260/program participant (Registration requires 30 days notice.)

A.S.P.I.R.E.
(Grades K-8)
Open Registration for 2010 – 2011 School Year begins May 15. A.S.P.I.R.E. is a licensed, school age child care program ensuring safety, proper staff training, and age-appropriate curriculum. Each day of an A.S.P.I.R.E program includes physical activity, nutritious snack, study time, and much more. Physical activities vary from gym or play structure to swimming. After Care takes place from 2:30-6 p.m. TCPS provides transportation from Easton & White Marsh Elementary Schools. Transportation from Chapel District Elementary, Saints Peter & Paul and Chesapeake Christian is provided by the YMCA. This program is also available to children with special needs. Enrollment fee of $30 and price of two weeks of care are due at registration. Space is limited.

(grades K-8)
Open Registration for 2010 – 2011 School Year begins May 15
Look no further than the YMCA for state-licensed before school care. Transportation from the YMCA to Easton Elementary School and White Marsh Elementary Schools included in Before Care rate, provided by TCPS. Easton Middle School participants walk across to the school. Before Care takes place 7-8:45 a.m. and is also available when school opening is delayed due to weather.
Enrollment fee of $30 and two weeks of care are due at registration. $20/member/week $30/program participant/weekr
Holiday Craft Workshops
(ages 3-5)
On the Tuesday prior to one holiday each month, 3–5 year olds gather to make holiday-themed crafts and participate in holiday activities. This program is held from 12:30-1p.m. and is a drop-off program.
This program is FREE with Family Memberships. Prior registration required and may be cancelled due to low enrollment.

Register for this program!!!USA Dance Parties
The YMCA partnership with USA Dance, Easton Chapter begins the third year of dances on the first Saturday of every month (call or check website). Dances are 7-10:30 pm, FREE lessons from 7-8 pm, FREE for students 18 and under, cost for YMCA and USA Dance members is $10, all other guest are $12, and college students with ID are half price. Your admittance includes the one-hour lesson. Have fun; dance, exercise, listen to music, and socialize with friends all at the same time. If you don’t have the money, be our guest and come anyway. This is a casual, smoke and alcohol free event. Ladies, no street-high heels please; proper dancing heels are fine.
