Plan B allows you to put less money down and finance the rest over ten months. After your first ten months of membership on Plan B, your monthly membership charge will lower to the Plan A monthly rate for your category of membership.
When accepting a bank draft membership, we ask for the joiner’s fee plus a pro-rated amount to cover membership until the first draft date. There are three payment options for joining the Y: monthly bank draft on Plan A or Plan B or a single annual payment. Please call or stop by the Welcome Center for more information.
Definition of Membership: (includes all 4 locations)
Family -Husband and wife with children under the age of 18, living at home and attending school. College students may be included, but must be full-time (12 or more credit hours).
Couple- Husband and wife.
Adult- Ages 18 and over.
Senior Adult- Individuals age 62 and over.
Senior Couple- Husband and wife, one must be 62+ years of age.College- Must carry a minimum of 12 credits of undergraduate work, verification required.
Teen- Ages 13-17 and attending school.
If you and your family do not fit into one of these membership categories please see Welcome Center Staff for assistance. Now your YMCA of the Chesapeake membership is good at the Easton Family YMCA, St. Michaels Family YMCA, Caroline County Family YMCA, Queen Anne’s County Family YMCA at Chesapeake College, and the Dorchester County Family YMCA.

AWAY Privileges
As a Y member, you are welcome at other Ys when you travel or visit other cities. Most Ys will either charge a small fee or accommodate you at no charge. Ask us to confirm participation in the AWAY program before your trip.
