Paddle Tennis Day October 31

Come try your hand at the “hottest” cold weather sport in Talbot County. The two newly renovated and resurfaced Platform Tennis courts at the YMCA of Talbot County are ready for action. Susan Claggett, Tennis Instructor (left) and Laurie Dennis, Y member and volunteer, will host a “Platform Tennis Day” at the Y on Oct 31.

“ Platform Tennis or ‘Paddle’ is enjoyed by tennis, racquetball, squash and ping-pong players as well as any athletes interested in getting outside and MOVING,” says Susan Claggett. Games and instruction start at 12 noon. King of the Court tournament begins at 2 pm and goes till approximately 4 pm. Further clinics will be offered by the YMCA of Talbot County throughout the winter. The public is encouraged to attend. Paddle racquets, balls and refreshments will be provided.
